Employment Background Screening is a process that includes the review, verification and validation of aspects of an individual’s integrity. It can be conducted during and after the hiring process. Depending on when it is initiated, Employment Background Screening can be divided into two processes: Pre-Employment Screening and Monitoring.
Pre-Employment Screening : a background screening process, which is conducted during the recruitment process and before candidates commence work.
Monitoring : a background screening process conducted over a certain period of time to monitor and prevent potential risks as well as maintain a safe and profitable work environment for employees (i.e. semester-basis, annual-basis).
